Ehla is looking for the next punctual, enthusiastic and organised person to join our friendly and hardworking Street Food team. The purpose of this role is to organise and kick start each trading day in direct collaboration with your colleagues. The suitable person must hold a CLEAN UK DRIVING LICENSE, have good time keeping skills and a positive attitude. An internal facing role, you will always report to location SE18 5NR Woolwich, to collect and deposit of the van, stock and equipment. Requirements: - Clean, valid UK DRIVING LICENSE (manual) - Able to drive a MANUAL VAN - Excellent time keeping skills - Excellent organisation skills - Ability to work as part of a team - Keen eye for detail and cleanliness - Manual handling and lifting skills The role is set up as a SPLIT SHIFT, a morning shift and an afternoon/evening shift. Rough shift pattern: 6am - 10.30am 4pm - 7.30pm (Please note there is a possibility for this shift to be bridged to an entire day of work IF you are interested and have the skills and capabilities in working within the Market or Event during set up and service times) JOB DETAILS Morning shift: You will be required to arrive promptly at the Ehla Prep Unit in Woolwich and load the van with the food for the trading day. You will drive to a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 locations to drop off food and equipment. One or more colleagues will be waiting for you on site to help you set up the site for the trading day. You will both unload the van together and set up the entire stall ready for service. You will then be required to drive the van back to the Ehla Prep Unit. Afternoon shift: You will need to collect the van from the Ehla Prep Unit in Woolwich and drive to the Market or Event location you dropped to that morning to collect the equipment and any left over food. Once arriving on site you will assist your colleagues in packing up and with their help load everything neatly and in order into the van. As the driver it is your responsibility to make sure everything goes into the van in a neat and clean manner. You will return to the Ehla Prep Unit where you will unload all food items and arrange everything neatly and accordingly into the fridges. The Main Purpose of this Role The main purpose of this job role is to take responsibility for ensuring that Exhibit Bars customers receive service to be talked about – that is informal, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Furthermore, to increase the sales and profitability of the bar and restaurant by offering great product advice and make recommendations where required and seek every opportunity to maximise sales. The Person You should have good organisational skills, be able to use your own initiative and be able to prioritise effectively. You should be visually alert, have a personality and the confidence to sell and tend to a number of different tables and customers all at once. You should be able to remain calm under pressure and enjoy the hospitality industry. Mis-en-Place Prepare service stations for glassware, condiments and product, ensuring maximum availability and fast, friendly service. Meticulously setting up the bar, always ensuring that all items are spotless eg glasses polished, glassware and cutlery polished, back-bar, displays and front bar surfaces wiped and correctly presented to create a wow impression to our customers. Customer Service Meeting and greeting customers with a smile and a friendly greeting and demonstrating customer awareness at all times. Great Communication Attend and contribute to pre-shift team meetings. Establish a positive, informal and friendly rapport with customers – be yourself! Maintain a positive and proactive relationship with kitchen, bar and reception teams throughout the shift to ensure that the customer experience is exemplary. Financial Accountability Comply with the cash handling procedures and be responsible for bill settlement, correcting and explaining any errors or discrepancies, using Comtrex or other till systems. Handle voiding, correcting and changing bills in accordance with the prescribed Exhibit Bars billing and charging procedure. Comply with Exhibit Bars cash-out procedures. Other Duties Be familiar with all products that are sold in the bar and restaurant by attending wine, food or any other training as required and be confident to explain dishes when serving your guests. Ensure that you clock in and out correctly. Ensure that your attire and presentation are of the highest standards. You should always look your best as first impressions are lasting (please refer to the grooming policy in your employee handbook). Arrive punctually for your shift and be ready to start work at least 10 minutes before your shift is due to start. Correctly follow company absence and lateness procedures. Comply with all Food Hygiene and Fire, Health & Safety and Licensing regulations, attending any training as required by the Company and adhering to all company policies and legislative requirements. Customer Service Meeting and greeting customers with a smile and a friendly greeting and demonstrating customer awareness at all times. Have a thorough knowledge of product ranges for beers, wines, spirits and cocktails and be confident to make recommendations/upsell. Always follow the Exhibit Bars steps of bar service Remove empty glasses, bottles and condiments as drinks are finished to ensure that the bar and customer tables are always clean and clutter-free. Resolve any minor issues or complaints that may arise but always communicate any issues with the Manager on duty so that the problem can be dealt with effectively. Great Communication Attend and contribute to pre-shift team meetings. Establish a positive, informal and friendly rapport with customers – be yourself! Maintain a positive and proactive relationship with kitchen, bar and reception teams throughout the shift to ensure that the customer experience is exemplary. Other Duties Be familiar with all products that are sold in the bar and restaurant by attending wine, food or any other training as required and be confident to explain dishes when serving your guests. Ensure that you clock in and out correctly. Ensure that your attire and presentation are of the highest standards. You should always look your best as first impressions are lasting (please refer to the grooming policy in your employee handbook). The Role Uncommon is a group of flexible workspaces across London and we are looking for a F&B assistant/barista for our on-site café at our Fulham location Monday - Friday. Our Barista’s are the heart and soul of the communal area at each of our sites. They are responsible for creating a superb day-to-day experience for all members and guests through professional, friendly, and attentive customer service. The Uncommon Fulham Café serves specialty coffee roasted by Assembly, a simple but quality breakfast and lunch menu, and a range of soft drinks and snacks from exciting small businesses. Responsibilities Prepare and serve the café’s food and beverage offering to the standards set out by F&B management. Engage with guests in a friendly, informed, professional manner, suggesting menu items and products based on their needs. Confidently answer any queries from guests regarding the offering, including any allergens information and how items are prepared.
