We are seeking an ambitious, goal-driven Business Development Associate to join our fast-growing team at Evident. In this role you will combine research, strategy and ingenuity to generate high quality sales opportunities for our Sales team, playing a key role in driving our commercial growth. Your contributions will directly support the expansion of our products and services within the banking sector and beyond. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives on autonomy and is eager to use their initiative in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. • Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients, • Plan and execute outbound prospecting campaigns, • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and growth opportunities, • Conduct targeted research to identify decision-makers in prospective client companies, • Secure meetings with prospects for our Sales team and Co-Founders - helping them prepare for these meetings and supporting them during and after with notes and follow-ups, • Conduct high-level conversations with senior decision makers at prospect companies about Evident’s unique value proposition, • Manage the inbound process from template creation and maintenance, to management of leads to convert them into sales opportunities, • At least 6 months of previous experience working in a Business Development or Sales role, • Proven knowledge and/or experience in researching and generating quality leads, building outbound campaigns and booking sales meetings, • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, • Experience working with CRM systems and lead generation tools, • Experience working in a start-up environment and/or within the financial services industry, • Experience enhancing and optimising workflows, • Experience working with HubSpot and Google Sheets, • Share options: we offer all employees share options over a 4 year vesting period, • Holidays: 28 days of holiday + public bank holidays, • Flexible working: 3-4 days per week in our Central London office, 1-2 days remote, • Learning & development budget: £1000/year, • Pension, • Private health insurance, • Evident is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among our workforce, and eliminating all forms of discrimination. This comprises a full-time, permanent position at Evident commencing with a 12-month rotational phase across three of our key teams - after which you’ll join one team, based on your skillset and interests. This Program offers outstanding graduates the opportunity to begin their career in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. During the rotational phase, you’ll quickly build key business competencies and accelerate your professional growth, followed by the opportunity to build deep domain expertise within a single team. Over time, you’ll develop a keen awareness of how AI informs business strategy at the world’s largest financial institutions. You’ll also contribute to the analytics and insights that fuel our research and strategic guidance for clients, and - once the rotational phase completes - you’ll enjoy working on projects of greater complexity, making an even greater business impact. Details of specific rotations: • Client Services: You’ll hone your ability to convert data into actionable insights which influence decisions taken by senior AI leaders at the largest financial institutions across the globe., • Index Research: You’ll conduct crucial desktop research for the Evident AI Index, generate cutting-edge insights for our clients in the financial services industry and support our content generation and research work., • Intelligence: You’ll track and analyse numerous data sources, derive practical insights and assimilate these into compelling reports and market updates watched by over 15,000 of our own subscribers, including AI thought leaders. Core Skills: • 2025 graduate or 0-2 years experience working in research, policy and/or consulting, • Experience with desktop / qualitative research, • Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, • Proactive, with an eagerness to take on ownership without being asked, • Strong attention to detail, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • An interest in technology, digitalisation and/or AI (either professional or personal)., • Experience in research design - asking insightful questions, formulating hypotheses and conducting rigorous research (e.g. academic research, think tank research, strategy consulting, equity research).
