We are currently recruiting for a Digital Test Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of our health tech platform through structured exploratory testing, defect identification, and the progressive development of a documented regression pack. Contract type: Permanent Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (30 minutes lunch) Place of work: Remote (with travel to Brighton office / meetings) Salary:£Competitive Market Rates The Role: The Digital Test Analyst will work closely with the product and development team, validating new features and changes, helping to maintain a high standard of software quality as the business scales. This is a hands-on testing role that requires curiosity, pragmatism, and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable working from user stories and tickets without exhaustive acceptance criteria, drawing on their own analytical thinking and growing product knowledge to assess whether software is working as intended. Over time, the Digital Test Analyst will become a core contributor to the team’s quality culture, helping to build testing rigour into the delivery process. Responsibilities EXPLORATORY & FUNCTIONAL TESTING • Read and interpret user stories and tickets to understand the intended behaviour of new features and changes., • Design and execute exploratory test scenarios to validate functionality, identify defects, and surface edge cases., • Perform regression testing across affected areas of the platform following releases and changes., • Test across multiple integrated third-party systems, understanding how data and behaviour flows across platform boundaries to identify integration-specific defects., • Validate functionality across multiple device types and form factors (mobile, tablet, desktop), ensuring a consistent experience across the platforms our users work on., • Raise clear, well-documented defects with sufficient detail for developers to investigate and reproduce., • Work collaboratively with developers and product colleagues to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities. REGRESSION PACK DEVELOPMENT • Progressively document test cases as business and product knowledge is gained, building out a structured regression pack over time., • Capture expected behaviour and edge cases in a clear, reusable format accessible to the wider team., • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing approaches and coverage as the platform grows. RELEASE SUPPORT • Participate in pre-release testing cycles, providing sign-off on defined areas of scope., • Support the identification of release risks and communicate testing outcomes clearly to the team., • Assist with post-release smoke testing to confirm deployed changes are working as expected. COMMUNICATION & DOCUMENTATION • Produce clear and concise defect reports, test summaries, and status updates for both technical and non-technical audiences., • Contribute to the creation of internal process documentation and training materials where required., • Maintain well-organised records of testing activity and outcomes. COLLABORATION & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT • Work within an agile delivery framework, participating in sprint ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives., • Build a strong working knowledge of the platform and the business processes it supports, increasing independence over time., • Identify opportunities to improve quality processes and contribute ideas to the team. SKILL REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES • Proven commercial experience in a dedicated testing role, ideally within a software product or SaaS environment. Aa a rough guide, the required level of capability is typically achieved in approximately 3 years’ relevant experience., • Demonstrable experience conducting exploratory testing without reliance on exhaustive acceptance criteria., • Proven ability to write clear, reproducible defect reports and test documentation., • Comfortable working from user stories and tickets to derive sensible test scenarios independently., • Experience testing across integrated systems or APIs, with an understanding of how failures can manifest at system boundaries (preferred)., • Comfortable testing across multiple device types and browsers as part of standard practice., • Strong written communication skills & ability to produce documentation that others can follow and build upon., • Methodical and detail-oriented, with an instinct for finding things that don’t work as expected., • Self-motivated and organised, able to manage workload across concurrent testing activities., • Collaborative and communicative, able to work effectively with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders., • Familiarity with agile delivery practices and associated tooling (e.g. Jira, ClickUp, or equivalent)., • ISTQB Foundation certification, or demonstrable equivalent knowledge of testing principles and practices (preferred)., • Experience working in a health tech, regulated, or similarly complex domain (preference)., • Exposure to building or contributing to structured regression test packs (preference)., • Experience with basic test management or documentation tools (preference).
