Salary up to £27,000 per annum Regional Law Firm – Chester Office Excellent Career Development Opportunities We're working with a well-established regional law firm, recruiting a Legal Assistant to join the Conveyancing team in their Chester office. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual looking to gain hands-on experience early in their legal career and work closely with senior fee earners on a range of residential and commercial property transactions. Responsibilities include • Reviewing initial documents received from clients, • Checking signatures against ID documents and completing risk assessments, • Requesting property searches and raising/replying to enquiries as directed by fee earners, • Corresponding with clients, brokers, estate agents, solicitors, and other third parties, • Reviewing and reporting on mortgage offers and lender requirements, • Drafting and reviewing legal documents and reports, • Obtaining and reviewing proof and source of funds and wealth, • Arranging draft and final indemnity insurance policies, • Calculating and completing SDLT returns, • Preparing completion statements, requesting deposits and mortgage funds, and making payments, • Handling post-completion matters, including Land Registry applications and title updates, • Raising bills, archiving files, and maintaining accurate client and transaction records, • Assisting fee earners with file management, calls, and administrative tasks, • Supporting the exchange and completion of transactions What we need from you • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively, • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, • Confident working independently and as part of a team, • Excellent communication and organisational skills, • Positive, client-focused attitude with a proactive approach, • Commitment to self-development and ongoing training (SRA and in-house) The Perks • Salary up to £27,000 DOE, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, • Healthcare provision, • Supportive, collaborative team environment, • Opportunities for professional growth and development, • Contributory pension scheme, • Christmas shutdown If you’re interested, hit that apply button or reach out to Jack Lloyd directly at
