Join Our Team as an EHS Projects Support Contractor Location: Desford Contract Type: 12-Month Department: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Reports To: Senior Manager, EHS Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on environmental, health, and safety performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for a proactive and experienced EHS Projects Support Contractor to drive forward key initiatives that ensure compliance, foster continuous improvement, and align with our long-term strategic direction. What You’ll Be Doing: • Lead Critical EHS Projects: Oversee and support impactful projects—ranging from risk assessments and ergonomic upgrades to safety system enhancements and environmental compliance programs., • Ensure Compliance & Excellence: Align project execution with UK legislation, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and internal standards., • Drive Insights Through Data: Track progress, analyse EHS performance metrics, and use insights to guide improvement strategies., • Engage Across the Business: Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to deliver practical, effective EHS solutions., • Promote a Culture of Safety: Create and deliver training materials that inspire safe behaviours and support successful project rollouts., • Support Audits & Inspections: Be audit-ready and support any corrective actions related to EHS project activities. What We’re Looking For: • A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field, • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in EHS roles within industrial or manufacturing settings, • Proven ability to manage EHS projects from concept through to delivery, • Strong understanding of UK EHS regulations and best practices, • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, • Confidence using Microsoft Office and EHS management systems Bonus Skills (Nice to Have): • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma, • Understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives Working Environment: • Full-time, on-site role based in our Desford manufacturing facility, • Occasional travel between sites or external meetings may be required, • Opportunity to work within a supportive team driving positive change Why Join Us?
