As a snapshot you will: • Act as an active member of the Leadership Team, contributing to group strategy, priorities, and decision‑making., • Develop and deliver the business unit strategy, aligned with Group goals, market trends, and commercial targets., • Own full P&L accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin performance., • Lead, coach, and develop all team members within the business unit, driving high performance, capability, and succession planning., • Set clear expectations, goals, and performance metrics for individuals and teams and provide feedback., • Build and maintain strong relationships with key primary care clients and stakeholders, including GP practices, PCNs, ICBs, and NHS trusts with primary care services., • Develop account strategies that maximise opportunities, increase share of wallet, and enhance long‑term partnerships., • Lead and coordinate high‑quality bids and tenders for new and existing clients., • Oversee qualification of opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic and commercial objectives., • Ensure operational efficiency across the business unit, removing barriers to success and driving productivity., • Act as a CRM super user, championing system adoption and process excellence., • Collaborate with Central Services teams (Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Payroll, P&C, etc.) to optimise processes., • Lead the growth and development of the Primary Care marketing and branding strategy, ensuring alignment with the wider business objectives., • Own business unit reporting including KPIs, revenue, GP, productivity, forecasting, and pipeline., • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. About You We’re looking for someone who can build strong relationships and lead effectively that can demonstrate: • Strong understanding or ability to quickly develop expertise of the UK primary care recruitment market, including GP practices, PCNs, ICBs, and wider NHS primary care structures and workforce trends., • Proven experience leading a business unit or senior team in a commercial environment., • Experience in P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and financial acumen., • Strong background in BD, client success, and commercial negotiation., • Experience with bids, tenders, and large contract management., • Strong leadership capability with high emotional intelligence., • Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and influencing skills., • Data-driven, analytical, and commercially minded., • Able to identify opportunities and take ownership of initiatives, • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to manage risks, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions.
