Security Design Engineer UK - Work From Home Were looking for an experienced Security Design Engineer to join our growing technical team, supporting major security and technology projects across the UK. This role involves nationwide travel for site surveys, alongside detailed design work carried out remotely or from home. What youll receive for joining us We offer a competitive salary (DOE) and a comprehensive benefits package, including: • 33 days holiday including bank holidays, • Workplace pension, • Private medical cover, • Life cover, • Employee Assistance Programme, • Long-service awards, • Annual appraisal and salary review, • 24-hour virtual GP service, • Ongoing training and professional development, • Laptop, phone and all required IT/design software, • Conducting site surveys across the UK, gathering technical information and assessing existing infrastructure, • Producing detailed CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, and Integrated System designs, • Creating concept, detailed, and construction-ready design packages, • Generating RFIs and TQs to clarify design requirements, • Supporting the entire design lifecycle from inception to project handover, • Preparing drawings, schedules, schematics, SLDs, and design documentation, • Liaising with clients, project managers, and internal engineering teams, • Participating in HAZID, HAZCON, and Design Assurance meetings, • Managing multiple design projects and shifting priorities, • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the design team, • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) for layouts, GAs, and technical drawings, • Experience producing block diagrams, wiring schematics, schedules, and structured documentation, • Exposure to CCTV and Access Control system design, • Experience in site surveying and client engagement, • Revit / BIM design experience, • Experience with integrated and complex security systems, • Experience in utilities, industrial, commercial, or critical infrastructure sectors, • Hands-on installation or commissioning background, • HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, IT, Security etc.), • Working towards EngTech/IEng/CEng, • Manufacturer training (Axis, Milestone, Genetec, Gallagher, etc.), • CSCS / EUSR / similar safety accreditationsQualities were looking for, • Strong problem-solving and analytical capability, • High attention to detail and design accuracy, • Excellent communication and documentation skills, • Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities, • Professional, proactive, and confident working with clients JBRP1_UKTJ
