Real People Solutions is delighted to support our client in Coventry with recruiting for a Registered Manager for a Children's residential care home. Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (higher for exceptional candidates) Hours: 37.5 hours per week (9:00am – 5:00pm or equivalent) Working Pattern: Ring-fenced supported office days included Benefits (Following Successful Probation): • Performance-related bonus, • Ongoing senior leadership and RI support, • Structured professional development Role Overview: An exciting role awaits for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care in line with Ofsted regulations and organisational values. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people, providing them with the stability and support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: • Hold full Registered Manager responsibility for the home, operating in line with Ofsted regulations and statutory guidance, • Lead, motivate, and develop a stable, skilled staff team, • Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and risk management, • Manage staff recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and performance, • Oversee care planning, placement stability, and outcomes for young people, • Manage budgets, occupancy, and resources effectively, • Work closely with the Responsible Individual, local authorities, and external professionals, • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory inspections, • Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota, with senior support provided Essential Requirements: • Minimum 2 years’ experience within children’s residential care in the past 5 years, • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or currently working towards it, or willing to commence and complete within 2 years, • Currently operating at Deputy Manager level or above, • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, • Ability to take 24/7 Registered Manager responsibility for the home, • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills Desirable Criteria: • Currently operating in a Registered Manager role, • Experience working with children and young people with mental health needs Why Join Us?
