Estate Technician Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire £26,733 - £28,140 per year 40 hours per week We have an opportunity for an Estate Technician to join our Welwyn Garden City Team. This role sits within the Void Team, however will be predominantly lone working. Estate Technicians provide a cleaning and clearing service along with a grounds maintenance service to our empty properties, getting them ready to be re-let. The role of Estate Technician will include: • Undertaking basic repairs, grounds maintenance, caretaking and general cleaning, • Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice and ensuring accurate daily work records are completed, • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations and escalate complaints as appropriate, • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks and ensure stock levels are maintained, • Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and method statements and the manufacturer's guidance, • British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS), NVQ 2 in Horticulture or similar or willing to work towards, • Pesticide Application Certificate PA1 - PA6 or willing to work towards, • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to grade C GCSE English and Maths, • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking grounds maintenance, caretaking, general cleaning and basic repairs duties, • Some experience of working in a domestic/cleaning environment and practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery We provide in-house repairs and maintenance for a wide range of properties, as part of a not-for-profit organisation.
