The WSA Framework Operational Contracts Team sits at the heart of Water Distribution, playing a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across a wide range of services. With responsibilities spanning supplier relationship management, quality assurance, and strategic delivery, the team is instrumental in driving performance and maintaining high standards across one of Yorkshire Waters most critical frameworks. Managing an annual spend of approximately £7080 million, the framework encompasses reactive repairs, emergency maintenance, leakage repairs, and metering servicesmaking it one of the largest and most impactful contract portfolios within the business. This team is not only central to delivering key performance commitments and enhancing customer experience, but also to safeguarding Yorkshire Waters reputation. The role within this team involves leading partner relationships, overseeing day-to-day delivery, and ensuring work aligns with performance and quality benchmarks. By fostering collaboration and continuous improvement, the role holder will work closely with operational and customer management teams to identify efficiencies, elevate service quality, and deliver outstanding outcomes for customers. Where you fit in: As our Service Delivery Manager , you will: Build excellent relationships and adopt a partnering approach to the WSP Framework performance management. Drive and embed excellent standards of H&S compliance across all work activities. Lead on dealing with operational issues with support from other roles within the team, e.g. commercial/performance team, assurance and strategy teams Lead contractor performance reviews, driving continuous improvement in operational and cost efficiency. Lead on the resolution of day to day escalated issues. Drive improvements in partner performance by improving ways of working across the whole end to end Service Delivery supply chain from work promotion to planning to execution and completion. Maximise efficient and/or effective practices through improved coaching, communications, and advising partners and YW colleagues in all aspects of Water Distribution. Highlight, update and manage any strategic risks to performance. Matrix manage others in the wider team, to deliver exceptional performance Lead the team to deliver excellent performance by setting clear expectations linked to business targets, having meaningful performance discussions that recognise and reward the right performance and behaviours and challenges where individual performance and behaviours do not meet expectations Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and ensure compliance with the YW Safety Policy. What skills & qualifications you will need: Understanding of Water Service Delivery Performance Commitments. Experience of managing high value, complex and business critical service-based contracts, and partnering with key operational stakeholders to ensure the required service is delivered to customers. A blend of operational and contractual management experience and linked to this an excellent understanding of the workings of Customer Service-based contracts. Performance management and driving change significant experience of manging supplier performance via governance forums, using data insight to drive operational decision making and improvement, and then tracking this through to delivery Relationship skills - the ability to build relationships at all levels and establish absolute credibility with all stakeholders particularly the Client and Service Partners. Leadership and People Management - the ability to deliver results through others.
