Senior Business Manager \n\n • Location: Fylde Primary School\n, • Contract Type: Full-Time\n, • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)\n, • Salary: Dependent on experience\n, • Potential for Permanent Employment: Yes\n\n We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced and highly organised Senior Business Manager to join a welcoming and supportive school environment. This role is ideal for a professional who can take ownership of the school's business operations, providing strategic and operational support across finance, administration, HR, premises, and compliance. \n Day-to-day of the role: \n\n • Lead and manage the school's administrative and business support functions.\n, • Act as a key member of the school's leadership and operational team.\n, • Manage financial processes including budgeting, monitoring expenditure, procurement, and financial reporting.\n, • Oversee HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and personnel records.\n, • Ensure the effective use and administration of SIMS and other school management systems.\n, • Monitor attendance, admissions, pupil data, and statutory returns.\n, • Support compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR, and other statutory requirements.\n, • Manage contracts and relationships with external suppliers and service providers.\n, • Support strategic planning and contribute to school improvement priorities.\n, • Line manage administration staff and ensure high standards of service delivery.\n, • Work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to support the smooth running of the school.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Previous experience in a School Business Manager, Senior Administrator, or equivalent school-based role.\n, • Strong working knowledge of SIMS.\n, • Experience managing school finances and budgets.\n, • Excellent organisational and communication skills.\n, • Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.\n, • Good understanding of HR processes and school compliance requirements.\n, • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.\n, • Ability to build positive relationships with staff, governors, parents, and external stakeholders.\n\n Desirable: \n\n • School Business Management qualification or relevant business qualification.\n, • Experience within a primary school setting.\n, • Knowledge of education sector funding and procurement processes.\n\n Benefits: \n\n • Opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team.\n, • Chance to make an immediate impact within the school.\n, • Full-time, consistent working hours.\n, • Potential opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.\n, • A varied and rewarding role with significant responsibility and autonomy.\n\n Apply Now \n If you are an experienced professional with the necessary school-based experience and SIMS expertise, we would love to hear from you.
