We are working with a respected training provider to recruit a Coach to support apprentices on the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship programme. As part of this role, you will also work alongside a leading external training partner who specialises in delivering legal knowledge and technical workshops. As a Coach, you will manage your own caseload of apprentices, providing tailored support to help them achieve the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to complete their apprenticeship successfully. While you won’t be teaching complex legal content directly, you will be guiding learners through their journey, helping them build confidence, resilience, and professional behaviours, while drawing on your own legal background to provide context and insight. You will: • Work closely with apprentices and employers to agree individual starting points and training plans., • Coach apprentices throughout their programme, reviewing progress regularly and taking proactive steps to keep them on track., • Provide skills and behavioural coaching, supporting personal growth and professional development., • Liaise with external expert partners who deliver technical legal training, ensuring apprentices benefit from high-quality knowledge-based workshops., • Act as a mentor and role model, ensuring apprentices feel supported, safe, and motivated., • Maintain accurate records, reports, and e-portfolio updates in line with internal systems., • Promote progression opportunities, encouraging apprentices to aim high and fulfil their potential. About You We’re looking for an individual with: • A strong background in law, ideally through a law degree, CILEx qualification, paralegal or solicitor experience., • Previous mentoring, coaching, or supervisory experience (advantageous but not essential)., • The ability to inspire, motivate and engage with learners from different backgrounds., • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload independently., • Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and e-learning platforms., • A professional yet approachable manner that reflects the organisation’s values of friendliness, accountability, and professionalism. Additional Information • Hybrid working: mainly home-based, with some travel to Manchester (commutable distance is advantageous)., • A full UK driving licence with business insurance is required., • Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken as part of the role., • Full training and ongoing professional development provided.
