KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · To Communicates with internal/external clients to determine customer’s needs. · To visually checks, test drives or uses test equipment to diagnose engine and mechanical faults. · To removes, dismantles repairs and replaces defective parts and prepares new parts using appropriate tools. · To reassembles, tests, adjusts and tunes the appropriate parts, systems or entire engine. · To carries out routine maintenance checks on oil and air filters, brakes and other vehicle parts/systems. · To diagnoses faults in electrical/electronic circuitry, removes faulty components and fits replacements. · To checks condition of electrical/electronic systems and carries out servicing tasks. · To repairs and services air conditioning, heating and engine-cooling systems. · To repair Choose the most appropriate Parts/Machine. In addition to the responsibilities referred to above, you must have excellent communication skills and a great sense of innovation and leadership quality. You need to be flexible, self-motivated, organised and time sincere. You must have the ability to work independently as well as a part of team having excellent attention to details. Experience in the similar role for 3 years is desirable. What you will be doing: Our Handyman or Maintenance Technician at Badiani plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our gelato stores by managing maintenance tasks and promptly addressing equipment issues. This position requires a versatile individual who can effectively handle both maintenance responsibilities and on-site repairs across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities: - Maintenance Management Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all Badiani locations to ensure optimal functionality of equipment and facilities. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify any maintenance needs or safety concerns. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialised repairs or maintenance services when necessary. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and service contracts - On-site Repairs Respond promptly to maintenance requests from store managers or staff to address equipment malfunctions or breakdowns. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance tasks on coffee machines, refrigeration units, and other equipment as needed. Troubleshoot equipment problems and provide technical support to store personnel as required. - Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs. - Health & Safety Compliance Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to address any identified hazards or compliance issues. Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out following industry standards. Key Requirements: Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a hospitality or retail environment. Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, multi-location setting. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with store teams and external vendors. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance. An experienced and qualified Electrical Fitter with experience in running installation / service teams on-site is needed to join the team at this leading door installation and servicing company based in London on a full-time basis. This role is in London, so the relevant candidate will be working around London for a large percentage of the time, which could include the odd weekend. About the Role You will work as a Site team member to provide a combination of installation, repairs, and servicing of various types of doors, including all associated hardware and components. You will be a part of the Servicing and Installation department and will report directly to the Managing Director. Much of their work requires the candidate to undergo a Security clearance, which will include background checks, references for the previous 3 years of employment, residential checks, medical and complete random Drugs and Alcohol checks. Key Responsibilities: •Install, service and maintain the range of doors, which can be NPSA (CPNI) rated. The range includes Sliding-folding, bi-fold doors, side-hinged doors and fire doors. All doors can be either mechanical or electrically operated •Provide an innovative and technically aware approach to problem-solving •Comply with all Health & Safety requirements. •Lead an on-site team of fitters to ensure the project is completed within the allocated time and to the high standards required •Ensure that all HSE and company paperwork is completed and returned to the office after the project has been completed •Ensure appropriate audits and checks are carried out on company equipment in line with relevant standards •Receive and put into action all written and verbal instructions as required •Train and supervise all team members to ensure they adhere to all safety documentation •examines drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams to determine the method and sequence of operations; •selects, cuts and lays wires and connects to sockets, plugs or terminals by crimping, soldering, brazing or bolting; •cuts, bends and installs electrical conduit; •assembles parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools and by brazing, riveting or welding; •installs electrical plant, machinery and other electrical fixtures and appliances such as fuse boxes, generators, light sockets etc.; •examines electrical plant or machinery, domestic appliances and other electrical assembly for faults using test equipment and replaces worn parts and faulty wiring. Required Experience: •Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have experience in running Installation/service teams on-site and have SSSTS Card as a minimum •All Electricians Must be fully qualified up to 18th Edition as a minimum •All Engineers will be required to have CSCS Cards as a minimum, but all Supervisors will require SSSTS cards.
