Technical Sales Advisor - Heating Products\nSalary £25,000 to £34,000 basic + benefits (depending on experience)\nHome Based – must live in Yorkshire (for occasional meetings and training)\nMonday to Friday, between the hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm\nAbout the Company\nOur client is a small, friendly, home-based team with global ambition, based in Huddersfield. They are recognised as a market-leading supplier of saunas, steam rooms, and a wide range of wellness and heating-related products for both domestic and commercial use.\nFollowing a period of strong growth, their aim is to become a leading online supplier within the health, wellness and leisure sector.\nThe Role\nThis role would suit someone with a background in heating, plumbing, renewables or technical product sales support (for example a heating engineer, or someone who has supported customers with technical products).\nThis is a product-focused role, supporting customers purchasing physical heating and wellness products – not IT or software support.\nYou will be advising customers on product suitability, specifications and basic setup, as well as supporting the sales process from enquiry through to order completion.\nKey Responsibilities\n * Managing incoming customer enquiries via phone and email\n * Advising customers on product suitability, specifications and basic setup\n * Promoting and selling the company’s range of heating and wellness products\n * Identifying the right products for customer needs and upselling where appropriate\n * Processing customer orders accurately\n * Maintaining CRM systems and managing sales pipelines\n * Supporting general sales administration\n * Assisting with improving and optimising product ranges online\n * Adding and maintaining products on the website (Magento), including descriptions, images and pricing\n * Liaising with warehouses and shipping providers to manage deliveries, including international shipments\n * Checking supplier invoices and identifying discrepancies\n * Managing stock levels and placing orders with manufacturers\n * Monitoring competitor pricing and market trends\n * Supporting website content including blogs and product information\nAbout You\n * Experience in a technical sales support, internal sales or product advisory role\n * Background in heating, plumbing, renewables or similar technical products (preferred)\n * Experience supporting customers purchasing physical products rather than services\n * Confident advising on product specifications and suitability\n * Strong customer service and communication skills\n * Organised, proactive and able to work independently\n * Comfortable working in a home-based environment\n * High attention to detail and strong administrative skills\n * Good level of numeracy and written English\n * Confident using Microsoft Outlook and Excel\n * Experience with CRM/ERP systems\n * Experience managing website content (Magento or similar platforms desirable)\nAdditional Requirements\n * Dedicated home office space with reliable broadband and minimal background noise\n * Previous experience working from home is advantageous\n * A stable work history, with the majority of roles lasting 2+ years\nScreening Questions\nPlease ensure your CV demonstrates:\nLongevity in previous roles (typically 2+ years)\nExperience working from home\nUse of CRM systems and managing sales pipelines\nExperience adding products to websites and managing product listings\nUnderstanding of pricing and margins\nExperience optimising product ranges online\nExposure to online marketplaces (e.g. eBay, Amazon, Linnworks)\nProficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel\nAdditional Information\nDue to the financial nature of the role, references and background checks will be required in line with GDPR and insurance requirements.\nThis role has previously been advertised.
