Mercury Systems is looking for a new talent to join its EMEA team. About the Role We are looking for a Hardware Engineer responsible for the hardware system Engineering Life Cycle and delivery for Air and Missile Defence Systems. Responsibilities • Design hardware systems, such as electronic circuits, as well as design components to work as part of hardware systems., • Analyse customer specifications and defines internal requirements / design items in terms of functionality, safety, performance, verification, industrialisation, production, time frames, and cost., • Establish and follow up hardware design planning of the project, including coordinate with internal teams the different hardware activities within the project as well as the various milestones., • Ensure the project execution conforms to the defined process., • Execute the Hardware development activities on highly complex avionic projects., • Responsible for the implementation, validation, verification, and qualification of hardware deliverables., • Support technical discussions with the customer in coordination with Chief Engineer., • Communicate and support certification milestones in front of the certification authorities in coordination with Chief Engineer., • Duly report progress, issues, risks and opportunities on designated projects and tasks., • Evaluate, set and translate high level requirements into validated design for mechanical performance (thermal, vibration, material constraints and quality), • Work closely with system, software & test engineers to refine and help to automate test procedures to support hardware development, qualification and production testing., • Provide technical advice and guidance to cross-functional teams, • Lead department collaboration to support qualification, system integration, industrialization, regulatory and safety certification activities., • Plan and steer mechanical properties used in parts and systems to improve technical performance., • Support make or buy process decision making. Education & Experience • Degree in electronics engineering or equivalent., • At least 10 years of industrial experience as hardware engineer., • Advanced Electronic Design Knowledge in Digital Circuit Design, Analog Circuit Design and Power Electronics Design (converters, filtering, protection, EMI reduction)., • Solid in schematic capture and layout impact on design., • Advanced Testing and Troubleshooting ability through Analytical skills, Problem Solving & Critical thinking., • Advanced knowledge of Signal Integrity Analysis, Data Analysis and Performance Simulation., • High resilience and ability to work in a challenging and very dynamic environment, • Hold minimum SC level clearance.
