With regional coverage tailored to your location, and our head office in Coalville, Leicestershire, youll join our expanding team and play a key role in ensuring our sites operate with the correct environmental permits and licences in place. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental permitting professional, ideally with a background in waste management, recycling, or minerals. Youll work across a broad and varied portfolio of sites. With a mixture of office-based work, site visits, home working and regional travel, this role offers autonomy, influence, and the chance to make a real impact across our circular economy and mineral development operations. What Youll Be Doing Leading and supporting environmental permitting for waste management facilities, mineral developments, infill and restoration projects. Preparing, negotiating, and managing applications for waste, water and other environmental permits. Ensuring all submissions meet statutory requirements and follow the correct guidance. Acting as a key point of contact with regulators, including the Environment Agency, SEPA and local authorities. Providing clear advice to operational teams on permit conditions, obligations, and compliance. Supporting investigations and corrective actions for any non-compliances. Keeping up to date with changes in environmental permitting legislation and contributing to company responses to public consultations. Who You Are You have experience in environmental permitting, ideally within the waste or minerals sector. Youre an effective communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills. Youre highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently. Youre confident in building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
