The team is responsible for supporting our customers on their IP journey by reviewing, assessing and processing applications and supporting evidence. Secure Examination Support Administrators are responsible for processing a broad range of administration work to deliver excellent IP Services to our customers. Some elements of the role require higher levels of attendance at the office for completion. Training will be based in the office and successful candidates will need to ensure that for the first 5 weeks of employment, they can attend the office on multiple, consecutive days for consecutive weeks. Some roles may require higher levels of security clearance. Working Style This role will be carried out in-line with IPO Hybrid working arrangements where staff are currently expected to spend at least 20% of their time working onsite from one of our offices. This role is based in our Newport The requirement for attendance at an office location can vary by role so we would encourage candidates to discuss working arrangements with the recruiting manager to agree a reasonable balance between working from home and the office. Job description Main duties consist of but are not limited to: • Completing checks and reviewing evidence on a wide range of Patents case work, referring to desk instructions and manuals where relevant to ensure compliance with legal requirements., • Communicating with a diverse range of customers verbally and in writing, explaining decisions and answering queries., • Escalating complex casework and queries in a timely manner, gathering relevant evidence and drawing on the right expertise., • Identifying complaints from correspondence received, logging them and escalating in line with guidance., • Maintaining a continuous improvement mindset by keeping up to date with CI practice and playing an active role in generating and supporting ideas., • Engaging and participating in wider team, directorate and corporate initiatives., • Providing customer service to a high standard, • Attention to detail, • Written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to analyse information, • Use this to explain why you're suitable for the role., • Structure your statement around the essential criteria in the Person Specification., • Making Effective Decisions, • Managing a Quality Service, • A flexible working scheme with excellent development opportunities, • 25 days annual leave moving to 30 days in annual increments (1 day per year) over 5 years of reckonable service.
