Exciting New Opportunity in our Zara Liverpool Store as we are currently hiring for a Store Director on a fixed term basis covering maternity. Key Responsibilities COMMERCIAL STRATEGY • To drive marketing initiatives and store’s sales performance based on the analysis and actions of the commercial reports and visual layout., • To be well informed about current industry trends analysing the competitors market in order to maximise profitability for the store., • Overlook managers in controlling and managing stock, product rotation, orders and returns to warehouse alongside the product manager in Spain., • Manage and maintain good working relationships and communication with product departments in the central office in Spain. STORE OPERATIONS • Maximise store profits by the utilization of the company’s internal tools and platforms provided, • Control of uniform costs, reporting procedures and company compliance., • To be an ambassador in the company’s sustainability project and ensure that the company upholds and works towards finding new, innovative and economically reductive ways to stay sustainable., • Reporting of store maintenance issues to be communicated to general services department following the company guidelines to maintain a strong brand image. HR PROCESSES • To ensure processes for reporting working hours are followed timely and accurately with corrections being maintained in line with company expectation., • To produce strategies to control overtime ratio based on analysis and understanding of store activity and expectations., • Forecasting recruitment needs for the store throughout the year ensuring the authorisation procedures and fair selection process has been followed. ., • Hours: To overlook the budget of hours are manged in the store effectively respecting the company shift pattern and work life balance project., • To initiate ideas and contribute to all Brand projects to improve performance., • To overlook case management with the HR Advisor, identifying and communicating high risk cases to the HR Manager/ER department., • Ensure the store is complaint with all company initiatives and lead by example to perpetuate the Zara UK culture. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT • To actively identify members of your team with development potential and build a continuous internal succession plan., • To develop the team through performance reviews and Personal development plans utilizing the Leap application and monitor their progression, • To overlook that inductions and trainings are carried out for all new starters and current employees inside the store following the company guidelines., • To deliver constructive feedback in a positive and honest manner, using specific examples in regards to the employee performance, setting achievable goals to support the employees’ development. CUSTOMER SERVICE • To ensure a high level of customer service standards are consistently attained in the store throughout all departments. HEALTH AND SAFETY • To overlook that good housekeeping is maintained throughout all areas in the store and procedures in reporting maintenance issues to general services are being followed., • Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy. Experience and Qualifications • Area Manager experience (desirable), • Experience in managing a similar retail operation within a fast paced environment, • Proven track record of commercial achievements., • Team management experience in maximizing profitability and drive sales., • Proven record in coaching and developing people to improve performance Fashion/textile design qualification is highly desirable but not essential., • Basic knowledge and understanding of UK Employment Law Skills and Attitudes • Ability to motivate people, instil accountability and achieve results., • Forward planning skills and strategic thinking, • Passionate about fashion, fabrics and company product., • Strong leadership qualities with ability to set goals and establish performance standards., • Identifies problems, reacts accordingly with initiative and problem solving, • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage conflict and positively influence others., • Excellent communication skills, • High levels of Numeracy Skills About us: Inditex is one of the largest fashion distribution groups in the world, with seven commercial brands: Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe.
