Clacton-on-Sea | £45,000 - £50,000 | Full-Time | Office-Based \n An established and growing business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to take ownership of core accounting and reporting activities while contributing to the continued development and improvement of the finance function. \n This is a broad and varied position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident managing both technical financial reporting and day-to-day finance operations. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • \n Prepare monthly management accounts and deliver accurate financial reporting packs. \n • \n Manage the month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations. \n • \n Maintain and monitor the fixed asset register. \n • \n Support year-end reporting activities and the preparation of statutory accounts. \n • \n Coordinate external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors. \n • \n Review, enhance, and implement financial controls, processes, and reporting procedures. \n • \n Oversee daily finance operations and provide support to the wider finance team. \n • \n Ensure all reporting deadlines are achieved, delivering accurate and timely financial information. \n • \n Provide financial analysis, insight, and support to senior leadership and key stakeholders. \n • \n Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function. \n\n About You \n To be successful in this role, you will possess: \n\n • \n A minimum of five years' accounting experience within a commercial or industry-based environment. \n • \n Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), or Qualified by Experience (QBE). \n • \n Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts. \n • \n A thorough understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes. \n • \n Experience supporting external audits and liaising effectively with auditors. \n • \n Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. \n • \n Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business. \n • \n A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. \n • \n A continuous improvement mindset and a desire to add value beyond routine financial reporting. \n\n Salary & Benefits \n\n • \n Competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000, depending on experience. \n • \n Permanent, full-time position. \n • \n Office-based role located in Clacton-on-Sea. \n • \n Opportunity to work closely with an experienced senior leadership team. \n • \n Broad and autonomous role with genuine responsibility and influence. \n • \n A chance to help shape and improve finance processes within a successful business. \n\n Apply Now \n If you are an experienced finance professional looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, we would be delighted to hear from you. \n
