Our busy Soho office is able to pivot quickly to challenges and deliver outstanding results for demanding clients, from small, interesting start-ups to international brands with new clients coming on board regularly. We also offer tailored, targeted and integrated social media strategy, brand consultancy, business incubation and step-by-step training for clients to effectively manage their public profile in-house. Recent work has included: Minecraft: Villager Rescue, Hot Wheels Stunt Show, Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition and The Traitors: Live Experience. KEY ACTIVITIES • Write press releases (trade and consumer), newsflashes, product pieces and comment/ quotes quickly and effectively, • Proof, edit and approve press releases and newsflashes written by junior members of the team, providing feedback for their personal development, • Confidently pitch press releases and feature ideas to different sections of the media, adapting and adjusting writing style and content for the media outlet type e.g. broadcast vs lifestyle pitch, • Maintain and build relationships with key media, developing a set of contacts that can be called upon when needed, • Meet with key journalists and influencers on a regular basis to discuss clients and future coverage opportunities, • Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, managing the needs of the client and the account, leading on calls and in-person meetings and being the go-to person on their account, • Be able to work independently, making decisions based on experience and intuition, • Spearhead campaigns and activity on client accounts, delegating where necessary and keeping on top of deadlines and upcoming activity, • Liaise with clients on a regular basis updating them on PR campaigns, providing insight, feedback and sharing information that will aid their business and wider PR & Marketing campaigns, • Provide innovative and creative ideas to clients including social media and influencer campaigns, • Be able to analyse and reflect on PR results, identifying learnings and recommendations that are constructive to the team and client, • Participate in the pitching process for new business opportunities, confidently writing PR proposals and presenting, • Maintain a good understanding of the daily news agenda by subscribing to and reading industry newsletters and content, frequently reading magazines, newspapers and lifestyle websites, • Managing and mentoring the team, regularly checking in with them on actions, priorities and their personal development helping them to progress within their careers, • On occasion feedback and create content for social media promoting and supporting Mance Communications especially on Instagram and Linkedin, • Report into Account Director and Business Owners, supporting wherever possible and being a reliable and trustworthy support KEY SKILLS • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate professionally at all times, • Strong copywriting with attention to detail when it comes to spelling, grammar and proof-reading and creative flair for producing engaging copy, • Demonstration of creative, strategic and innovative thinking – taking the bigger picture into account and overall goal for clients and business, • Confident in presenting and communicating ideas to the wider team and media, organising information in a thought-through and succinct manner, • Impressive interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, being approachable, friendly and empathetic with the ability to relate to people on different levels within the agency, client portfolio and media, • Ability to organise and manage multiple projects, clients and team members, working to tight deadlines and meeting the demands and pressures of the team, working quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality, • Be commercially aware and business savvy, • Good industry knowledge and experience in building influential networks, being aware of activity across relevant social media including influencers and viral trends on Instagram, TikTok, X etc
