Team Leader Care Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 40 hours per week Responsible to: Registered Manager Location: Capernwray, Carnforth Salary: Basic salary of £27,803.20 with a potential to earn up to a total of £34,523.20 with sleep in shifts. We are looking for dynamic and inspirational Residential Home Team Leader to join our already established Children's Home Team at Bayview. You'll be working in one of our family feel children's homes in Capernwray, Carnforth, with a maximum of four young people per home. Our service requires individuals who will help guide young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties to success and who are dedicated to supporting our ethos. As well as this, you will support in providing a safe, secure, homely and positive environment for the children and young adults in the home so that their lives are progressively improved. To assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the leadership and management of the day to day operations of the Home so that the lives of all of the young residents are progressively improved. All our homes are rated 'Outstanding' or 'Good' by Ofsted so as such we would require you to assist in the continuous improvement and development of the quality, image and reputation of the Home. To deputise for the Registered Manager at any time when the Registered Manager is not physically present at the Home. You must also hold a full UK driving license. It is a requirement that you hold your Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People. This is done in an open, positive and inclusive way ensuring that all staff have the opportunity to communicate concerns and put forward potential solutions and improvement ideas., • Members of staff are actively involved in and consulted on decisions which affect the way they carry out their jobs on a day to day basis., • A senior staff meeting is held ahead of the weekly staff meeting in order to prepare properly for that meeting and agree anything important which needs to be communicated to the rest of the team., • The Team Leader proactively communicates ideas for the medium term improvement of the Home, for inclusion in the annual development plan., • Any problem area or issue needing to be addressed within the business is immediately raised with the Deputy or Registered Manager., • All staff are managed fairly and consistently and in accordance with the core values of the Home with the effect that the level of staff turnover is kept to a minimum., • The Team Leader ensures that day to day staff management issues are dealt with quickly, fairly and professionally., • Employee absence is proactively managed in accordance with the agreed absence management policy and procedure., • Return to work interviews are carried out as necessary and in line with the agreed policy and procedure., • Where staff are unavailable for work at short notice, immediate action is taken to obtain competent staff to fulfil their roles., • The Team Leader ensures that the staff working on each shift for which he or she is responsible are deployed as effectively as possible., • The appearance of all staff is proactively managed so that it consistently meets the agreed appearance standard., • The Team Leader carries out regular performance reviews (supervisions) with all team members in accordance with the agreed procedures and timescales. The key responsibilities of this role as a Compliance Team Leader are: Lead a team of compliance engineers across a range of works, including: • Installation of automation and safety-related control system components (new and existing), • Installation of cabling and containment systems, • Assessment of electrical panels and completion of remedial work, • Electrical testing of new and existing installations, • Installation work within designated ATEX environments, • ATEX inspections and asset remedial actions Support the project manager in delivering: • Mobilisation and a clear understanding of project installation requirements, • Achievement of project installation timelines, • Quality control throughout all stages of work, • Commissioning activities, • Completion of all required project documentation Qualifications and Skills of a Compliance Team Leader: • Lead a team carrying out electrical installations within industrial and manufacturing environments • Install electrical cable systems and containment • Work from wiring diagrams, cable block diagrams and termination drawings • Build and work on both new and existing automation and control panels • Knowledge of PLC control wiring, instrumentation and motor starter control arrangements • Understanding of standards relating to machinery safety and electrical control systems • CompEx 01–06 and/or experience working in ATEX-designated areas • Knowledge or experience of machinery safety and safety circuits, including an understanding of SIL and PLr ratings • Electrical testing qualification such as C&G 2391-52 • Electrical qualifications such as BTEC and/or NVQ Level 3 • AM2 and 18th Edition as a minimum • CompEx Dust and Gas certification as an advantage • C&G Machinery Safety, PUWER, CompEx 01–06, C&G 2391-52 may be provided for the right candidate The employment package for an Electrical Site Supervisor is: • 40 hours per week plus overtime, • JIB+ rates: Basic of £42,000 - £47,000 with potential earnings up to £64,500 per year with overtime, • Plus, Enhanced Lodge and travel allowance., • Plus, Transport and uniform provided., • Leading training from our in-house academy., • Inclusive employer committed to diversity and wellbeing How to Apply: This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Nelson Permanent Placements Ltd.
