    We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our dynamic culinary team in a South Indian restaurant based in Bexley, Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality Indian dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. The Chef will play a key role in maintaining food safety standards and fostering a collaborative kitchen atmosphere. Responsibilities • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards, • Preparing starters, curries and Hyderabad Dum biryanis (vegetarian and non-vegetarian), • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols, • Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation excellence, • Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and proper storage practices, • Assist in menu planning and development to introduce innovative culinary options, • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations, • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment, • Serve dishes to customers when necessary, ensuring excellent customer service, • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, complying with health and safety regulations Qualifications • Proven experience in a professional Indian kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting, • Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques, • Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively, • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management, • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, • Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, • Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and serving customers is highly desirable, • A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining high standards of quality This position offers an engaging opportunity for dedicated culinary professionals eager to contribute their skills within a vibrant team environment. What You'll Bring: • Proven experience in Employee Relations or a senior HR advisory role., • Strong knowledge of UK employment law., • Demonstrated ability to manage complex casework independently., • Excellent communication, influencing, and conflict resolution skills., • Experience within the education, training, or apprenticeship sectors is desirable.
