Healthcare Support Worker – Acute Dementia Unit (Band 3) 📍 Forget Me Not Unit, Worthing 💷 £24,937 – £26,598 per annum (Band 3, pro rata for part time) 🕒 37.5 hours per week 🌙 Long days and night shifts 📄 Fixed term – 12 months 📅 Closing date: 29 December 2025 About the role We’re looking for a Healthcare Support Worker (Band 3) to join our specialist Forget Me Not Unit in Worthing, supporting women with dementia within an acute inpatient setting. This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding role, offering the chance to make a real difference to people living with dementia and their families, while developing your skills in a highly supportive, multidisciplinary environment. Experience is welcome but not essential – we’re looking for people with the right values, compassion and motivation to learn. What you’ll be doing • Supporting patients with daily living and personal care, • Working alongside nurses, consultants and the wider MDT, • Helping deliver a therapeutic and dementia-friendly care environment, • Communicating with patients, families and carers, • Observing, recording and reporting patient needs and progress What we’re looking for • A caring, compassionate and respectful approach, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • A commitment to learning and personal development, • The ability to work shifts, including long days and nights Experience in dementia or mental health care is desirable but not essential – full support and training will be provided.
