Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire) Salary: £44,000-£46,000 (OTE £50,000-£55,000) Hours: Monday to Friday 07.30-17.30, (45 hours per week | 37.5 hours basic rate + 7.5 contracted overtime hours rate per week) Jobb Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Opportunity An established manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. What's in it for you? • £17.00-£18.00 per hour basic rate, • Contracted 45-hour week, • 37.5 hours paid at standard rate, • Additional 7.5 hours per week overtime rate, • Annual earnings of approximately £45,756 | Average Earnings of £50,000-£55,000, • Additional overtime available at enhanced rates (1.5x Monday-Saturday | 2x Sundays & Bank Holidays), • On-site parking, • Ongoing training and career development (Leadership/Electrical/Mechanical Training Opportunities), • Employee benefits and discount schemes, • Company pension scheme (3% Employee / 5% Employer), • 24 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (32 Overall), • Life assurance scheme Working Hours & Flexibility • Monday to Friday day shifts, • 37.5-hour basic working week, • Additional 7.5 contracted hours per week, • Overtime available on a regular basis, • Participation in call-out and weekend overtime rotas available, • Flexibility required to support operational requirements Key Responsibilities • Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing equipment (Conveyors, Motors, Gearboxes), • Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), • Diagnosing and repairing production machinery breakdowns, • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, • Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, • Working to maximise plant efficiency and uptime About You • Minimum 3 years' experience within a maintenance engineering role, • Background within manufacturing, production, process, food, packaging, recycling, FMCG, or similar environments, • Relevant engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent/time served, • Mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled maintenance experience, • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Interested?
