We are delighted to be working with Metropolitan Police Service to source an experienced Implementation lead to join their Property Services Directorate. • Location: Hendon or Sidcup / hybrid, • Initial 12-month interim role Day-to-day of the role: • Lead the delivery of complex moves, restacks, accommodation changes, and transformation programmes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to PSD standards., • Oversee the production and progression of Business Cases and Options Appraisals through relevant governance pathways., • Ensure all implementation activity aligns with the wider MPS Estate Strategy, operational priorities, and accommodation/occupancy requirements., • Act as a senior ‘expert client’ and maintain strong control of risks, compliance, dependencies, and assurance processes across implementation programmes., • Drive cross-directorate coordination to resolve blockers and ensure integrated delivery with Construction, Facilities Management, Real Estate Management, Engagement, and the organisation's digital teams., • Lead, coach, and develop the Implementation Management team, improving capability, resilience, and succession planning., • Strengthen evidence-based decisions through improved use of data, demand analysis, and financial modelling., • Extensive experience as a project manager in client-side organisations, particularly in delivering complex accommodation, property change, or workplace transformation projects in large, multi-site organisations., • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through major change, including contractors and external suppliers., • Strong understanding of the MPS estate, governance processes, user groups, and organisational structures., • Demonstrated experience in business case authorship, options appraisal, and data-driven decision making., • Experience working within complex governance and assurance environments., • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage risk, dependencies, and competing priorities., • Desirable: Professional qualification in project management (PRINCE2, APM), and experience in public sector estates, policing, or mission-critical environments., • Opportunity to work in a role of significant operational and political significance., • Leadership of a diverse team, with a mix of direct and matrix management., • Professional development and upskilling opportunities.
