    Tweseldown Infant School is looking to recruit a supervisor for our Breakfast and After School Club. We are seeking a person/persons who can ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils in your care, someone to take part in preparing and delivering engaging activities making sure all pupils have a fun time at Breakfast and/or After School care (known as ‘Starcare’). We are recruiting for a supervisor for our breakfast and after school club. We are open to looking at job shares for this position. Duties and responsibilities • Deliver age-appropriate activities and experiences to support pupils’ development, • Offer educational instruction where needed to help pupils to share equipment, • Supervise pupils during activities and help to resolve issues between pupils, • Monitor pupils that aren’t engaging in play and feedback any concerns to the Starcare manager Health and safety • Observe pupils and the environment and take action to minimise any identified health and safety risks, • Deliver first aid to respond to minor and major incidents and record these, • Make sure all food is prepared in line with health and safety standards and that the dietary requirements of pupils are met, • Supervise pupils eating and assist with chopping food and clearing away (including slip & trip hazards), • Support with setting up and putting away all equipment safely Behaviour • Report any incidents of inappropriate behaviour to the Starcare manager, • Follow school’s Behavior policy, • Support pupils with their independence and self-esteem when carrying out activities Working with others • Inform the manager if you are ill following school’s Absence policy, • Build positive relationships with parents at drop off and pick up times Safeguarding • Keep accurate attendance records in line with school procedures, • Be responsible for pupils until the school day starts / a parent/carer arrives for collection, making efforts to contact the parent/carer in the case of lateness, • Look out for any unidentified visitors approaching the school and follow the school’s procedures for approaching/reporting individuals Other areas of responsibility • Read and follow the relevant school policies, • Undertake training required to develop in the role Please note: this is illustrative of the general nature and level of responsibility of the role. Person specification criteria qualities Qualifications and training • First aid training (or willingness to complete it) Experience • Working with children or young people, • Planning activities to engage pupils and support development Skills and knowledge • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to issues that arise, • Ability to use own initiative and take action accordingly, • Effective communication with adults and children, • Ability to take a firm but fair approach to handling behaviour issues in line with the school’s policies, • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues Personal qualities • Commitment to supporting and understanding pupil needs, • Commitment to upholding and promoting the ethos and values of the school, • Commitment to maintaining appropriate confidentiality at all times, • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, • Commitment to playing and having fun Other: Salary: £25,615 F.T.E Working weeks: 39 weeks a year (term time) Job share will be considered This job description may be amended at any time in consultation with the postholder.     We are looking for reliable, hardworking and professional Office Furniture Porters to join our growing team, working on commercial office furniture installation, relocation and clearance projects across London and the South of the UK. This is a hands-on role working as part of an experienced team. You will assist with the safe movement, delivery, positioning and removal of commercial office furniture and equipment. Previous experience within commercial furniture, removals, relocations or fit-out would be beneficial; however, full training can be provided for the right candidates. Key Responsibilities • Loading and unloading office furniture and equipment., • Moving furniture safely around commercial buildings., • Assisting furniture installers with deliveries and installations., • Positioning desks, chairs, storage, meeting tables and other office furniture., • Assisting with commercial office relocations and internal moves., • Assisting with office clearance and furniture removal projects., • Protecting furniture, floors, walls, lifts and other areas during works., • Using trolleys, skates and other handling equipment safely., • Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe., • Following site-specific Health & Safety procedures and instructions., • Working closely with Team Leaders and Project Managers., • Representing the company professionally when working on client sites. What We're Looking For We are looking for people who are: • Reliable and punctual., • Hardworking with a positive attitude., • Comfortable undertaking physical and manual work., • Able to work effectively as part of a team., • Professional and respectful when working in occupied offices and client environments., • Flexible with working hours and project locations., • Willing to learn and develop new skills., • Experienced in furniture removals, installations or commercial fit-out is advantageous but not essential., • CSCS card preferred but not essential., • A UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential. Training & Development Full training can be provided, including training in safe manual handling, furniture installation procedures, site Health & Safety and the use of specialist moving equipment. For the right candidates, there will also be opportunities to progress into Furniture Installer and Team Leader positions as experience and skills develop. We are looking for people who want to become part of a professional and growing team delivering commercial office projects throughout London and the South of the UK.
