We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced EHS Manager to join our growing team. This pivotal role will ensure the project complies fully with health, safety, and environmental standards while fostering a strong safety culture across the site Your Role The overall responsibility for EHS management of the site, ensuring the project is on track and in line with both local and governing EHS standards. Work closely with the client team and their representatives on site including sub-contractors, suppliers etc. To ensure a safe environment is maintained at all times. The following list of duties is not exhaustive, but includes: • Lead and enforce the implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and best practices across the construction site., • Ensure full compliance with UK HSE legislation, CDM 2015 regulations, and client-specific safety requirements., • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive continuous improvement., • Develop, deliver, and monitor EHS training, inductions, and toolbox talks for site personnel and subcontractors., • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; produce detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions., • Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders on all EHS matters., • Promote a strong safety culture on site through leadership, visibility, and consistent communication., • Maintain site environmental controls, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainable practices., • Keep accurate records of safety documentation, inspections, permits to work, and statutory compliance., • Undertake the prequalifying of designers, contractors, and other team members to ensure they are EHS competent and appropriately prequalified against Wade CMC pre-qualification requirements, • Lead and implement a Safety Schedule detailing the calendar dates and frequency of safety activities to be undertaken, • Lead and implement a proactive EHS programme encouraging recognition of the workforce and feedback / engagement with the workforce, • Lead and manage the safe systems of work, site rules, security and induction process based on Wade CMC systems and process Skills and Knowledge • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Strong, negotiation, numeracy and IT skills, • Strong time-management and organization skills, • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with internal and external customers, • Attention to detail, ability to identify errors and correct them, • Experience within Construction, life science, major projects., • NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction certificate or equivalent, • 10 years in a similar position, • CIOB or equivalent, • Salary £55,000-£60,000 p/a, • £6,000 car allowance per annum, • Company Pension Scheme Please send your CV to
