The role: Technical Warehouse Manager (AV, Events Management, Professional Media) The salary: £40k to £45k + benefits Location: Preston, Lancashire Hours: Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700 (with occasional weekends) The role is open to applicants that are already based in the UK and within a commutable distance of Preston, Lancashire - Relocation/sponsorship cannot be considered We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Warehouse Manager to take ownership of a busy, fast-paced AV warehouse. If you’re a senior tech who’s ready to step off the road but still wants to stay close to the kit and the people, this could be a great fit. What you’ll be doing: • Leading and mentoring a team of 4 junior techs. Setting standards, building skills, and keeping the place running smoothly., • Overseeing all things AV kit, from prep & de-prep, maintenance, and repairs, through to keeping inventory databases accurate and up to date., • Making sure health & safety isn’t just a tick-box exercise but part of day-to-day working., • Coordinating transport and logistics for equipment, deliveries, and events., • Strong technical knowledge of AV equipment and warehouse processes., • Proven ability to lead, coach and mentor a team., • Process-driven mindset with sharp attention to detail., • Confidence with systems and databases (accuracy matters here), • Experience managing compliance (PAT, LOLER, H&S)., • Knowledge of transport management (vehicle bookings, logistics, etc)., • An interest in new AV tech and ways to improve workflows.
