Multi-Trade Operative (Damp & Mould / Repairs) ideally with Electrician Part P qualification Hainault Region – Field Based £35,000 – £42,000 + Van + Fuel + Excellent Progression Full-time | Monday–Friday | Stable, Growing Compliance Contractor Join a rapidly expanding specialist repairs, maintenance and compliance contractor with over 30 years’ experience. My client is a long-established fire, electrical and property compliance provider supporting local authorities, housing associations, and public sector landlords across London, the Home Counties and Southern England. With c.500 staff and a £60m+ turnover last year, the group is continuing to grow following major investment and the acquisition of a second compliance business. They are now expanding their Damp & Mould Division, which is already delivering for major public sector clients. The department is expected to see significant growth in the next 12–18 months — providing excellent long-term opportunities for skilled operatives. The Role: Multi-Trade Operative You will carry out a range of damp & mould remedial works, minor repairs and small-scale maintenance tasks within occupied social housing properties. Working closely with surveyors, and schedulers, you will ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard. Day-to-day responsibilities: • Completing remedial works following damp & mould surveys, • Minor carpentry, plastering, patch repairs and sealant works, • Installing or upgrading extractor fans, vents or basic ventilation components (if competent), • Making properties safe, • Ensuring all work is completed within KPI and SLA requirements, • Liaising with residents, housing officers and internal teams, • Updating job information, notes and completion photos, • Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times Why Join? • Fast-growing division backed by strong investment, • Stable workflow with guaranteed public sector contracts, • Excellent progression routes, • Strong team culture — family-founded business now supported by a larger group, • Opportunity to gain additional compliance qualifications Ideal Candidate • Experienced Multi-Trade Operative with skills across as an electrician alongside plumbing, carpentry, plastering, or painting, • Previous experience working in social housing, • Experience with damp & mould remedials highly beneficial, • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in occupied homes, • Good communication and ability to work independently, • Full UK driving licence Package & Hours • Salary: £36,000 – £40,000, • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, • Van & Fuel Card provided, • Company benefits as part of a large, growing group, • Regionally based -(currently either N London, Central Beds or Herts/Essex regions)
