Job Title: Technical Project Manager – HVAC Salary £45k-£55k Company based in Newport Location: England/Wales (Site & Office Based) Project Value Range: Up to £5 million Sector: Mechanical & Electrical (Building Services) Role Overview: The Technical Project Manager (HVAC) will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of mechanical building services projects, focusing on HVAC installations up to £5 million. The role requires strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and leadership capability to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Project Delivery & Management:, • Lead HVAC projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover., • Develop and maintain project programmes (NEC/JCT)., • Coordinate mechanical services with other disciplines., • Monitor progress, resources, and budgets. Technical Oversight: • Provide technical leadership on HVAC systems., • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals., • Ensure compliance with BS 7671, CIBSE Guides, Building Regulations Part L & F., • Oversee commissioning in line with CIBSE Codes. Health, Safety & Compliance: • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015., • Promote HSE best practices., • Review RAMS and enforce safe systems of work. Commercial Management: • Manage budgets up to £5M., • Oversee valuations, variations, and final accounts. Stakeholder Management: • Act as main technical contact., • Lead meetings and reporting. Procurement: • Manage HVAC procurement and subcontractors. Quality Assurance: • Ensure QA/QC procedures., • Manage snagging and handover documentation. Skills & Experience: • Proven HVAC project management up to £5M., • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems., • Understanding of UK regulations., • Experience in commissioning and delivery. Desirable: • Degree/HNC in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering., • CIBSE membership., • SMSTS certification., • BIM knowledge (ISO 19650).
