The Maintenance Technician role comes with comes with a salary up to £43,853, 4 on 4 off working pattern across days and nights and a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Technician role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mobile plant and site infrastructure, including mechanical, fabrication and welding work. Diagnose equipment faults and provide practical engineering solutions to minimise downtime and improve reliability. Ensure all maintenance, hot works and welding activities are completed safely, with equipment kept in good working order and dynamic risk assessments completed as required. Support continuous improvement through plant modifications, engineering projects, and involvement in problem-solving initiatives. Accurately complete maintenance records, CMMS updates and shift documentation, maintaining high housekeeping standards through a clean-as-you-go approach. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Qualified engineer with strong experience in mobile plant maintenance, welding, fabrication and mechanical work. Proven ability to diagnose issues and deliver practical, end-to-end engineering solutions. Strong understanding of safe systems of work, including plant isolation and safety procedures. Previous experience with maintenance mobile plant equipment. Personal skills The Maintenance Technician role would suit someone who is: Well organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise workloads effectively. Confident communicator, comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
