Hi everyone! We are looking for staff for our new shop in Westminster, London (SW1P 2HP). We will be open from 7am - 3.45pm Monday-Saturday. We will need a barista with knowledge of Greek coffees (ελληνικός, freddo and frappé) as well as the standard coffees. We will also need staff with knowledge of Greek food to cook Greek homemade dishes (moussaka, pastitisio, gemista etc) and pastries fresh every morning. Preparation can be outside of the shop's serving hours but the pastries must be cooked fresh just before opening. Another member of staff will be needed to greet/serve customers the cooked food (takeaway), keep the shop clean. Pay is from £13hr upwards. Experience will be taken into consideration. If applying for the barista role, please ensure you have experience with espresso machines with a steam wand for latte art. You must have passion for Greece and its' products. We will expect you to learn how to pronounce the names in Greek as well as possible and be able to sell the products. We are looking for a Sous Chef to work alongside the Head Chef as his number 2. Laxeiro has made its reputation making home cooked Spanish food. Knowledge in Spanish food is important but not essential. The job consists of general chef duties. 5 days per week split into 2 shifts per day with a break between lunch and dinner. Covering Head Chef when off. Days off are Monday ( restaurant close mondays) Tuesday or Wednesday & one Sunday per month off.
