SEN Tutor | Stanwell Moor (TW19 6BS) | Full Time | £31,000£34,500 per annum Green Corridor is a dynamic UK-registered charity supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to build confidence, independence, employability, and nationally recognised qualifications. With around 50 learners on roll in our Section 41 Post-16 provision, we are committed to delivering high-quality, personalised education pathways. Whats in it for you? We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable SEN Tutor to teach small groups of learners with SEND. Experience & skills: Proven experience in quality teaching Experience of working with young people with special educational needs or learning disabilities Experience in assessing, tutoring, training, or teaching Experience working for a charity or voluntary organisation (desirable) Qualifications & knowledge: Educated to Level 2 in Maths and English IT literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills Proactive, self-motivated, can-do attitude Ability to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance Award in Education and Training or equivalent Achieved/working towards Diploma in Education and Training (DET), NVQ assessor qualification, or PGCE (desirable) D1 Licence and willingness to drive a minibus (desirable) Appropriate Prevent and Safeguarding training What will your role look like? As an SEN Tutor, you will deliver small-group teaching to learners with SEND, supporting them to develop skills for independence, employability, and nationally recognised qualifications. Frontline Teaching: Plan, prepare, and teach schemes of work to national standards, delivering individually targeted lessons Promote the intellectual, physical, and personal development of learners, including embedding English, Maths, and British Values Design and deliver PSHE lessons Tailor teaching to the differing abilities of learners in your group Assessment, Recording & Reporting: Assess learners and create individual portfolios Report on learner development, progress, and attainment in line with RARPA Maintain individual learner plans and set/review targets Work with the Internal Verifier to ensure quality assurance Attend Progress Reviews and Interim Reviews for learners in your group Curriculum Development: Advise and cooperate with senior managers, tutors, internal verifier, and support staff on teaching materials, schemes of work, assessment methods, and pastoral care Discipline, Health & Safety: Follow all organisational policies and procedures Work collaboratively with parents/carers to ensure consistent delivery of programmes Complete and follow risk assessments to ensure learner safety Professional Development: Participate in 30 hours of CPD per year, specific to learner needs and Green Corridor Maintain your individual Professional Development Plan Potential to train toward Level 3/Level 5 Awards or Diplomas in Education & Training Cover & Other Duties: Provide supervision and teaching cover where tutors are unavailable Undertake other activities as required to achieve organisational objectives, as directed by the CEO Whats next?
