Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our market leading manufacturing client with their search for a Production Engineer. Job Purpose: • A key role within the business managing the whole production process, making sure everything runs smoothly and effectively., • Making key improvements to manufacturing processes throughout the business., • Full responsibility for a number of manufacturing processes within the business including: CNC Routing, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, Powder Coating and Electrical Assembly. Key Duties: • Ownership/Continuous improvement of existing machines/processes., • Selection of new assembly processes/techniques., • Specification/Development of new equipment/tooling., • Defining new and existing production procedures, finding ways to reduce costs and maximise efficiency while maintaining product quality., • Train staff in new and existing processes., • Collaborate with design engineers and management in developing new manufacturing processes and technologies., • Machine/process introduction including: Supplier selection, Ergonomics, PFMEA, Concept Design, Cycle time achievement and reduction, Factory layout, Technical files and operating instructions, Support for production and Maintenance teams., • Resolving Quality Issues highlighted by shop floor and seeking corrective actions via Purchasing from suppliers as required. Liaise with other departments as required if design or BOM changes are required., • Generating Installation documents for New Products and SOP's for existing products ideally with ability to work with 3D models to generate literature. Key Requirements: • Minimum of HNC/HND Standard or equivalent., • Min 5 years' experience in similar industry or some automotive experience preferred., • Technical background, with hands-on experience in designing and setting up production lines for new processes., • Software knowledge (MS Office, 2D and 3D CAD, Ideally SolidEdge). The Package: • £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience., • Paid overtime., • Working Hours are 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri - can be flexible on this., • Company Pension., • 25 days holiday., • 6 month Probationary Period.
