Through technical excellence, you will ensure that their financial plan remains on track and help them achieve their goals. You will focus on delivering the Annual Financial Planning service to existing clients, providing continuity and technical expertise that strengthens long-term client relationships. You will partner closely with our Financial Planners and act as the key cog within the servicing team, bridging the gap between the administrator and the financial planner. You will be responsible for maintaining technical documentation, managing ad hoc client needs throughout the year, and ensuring the seamless delivery of advice to the existing client bank. What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will take full ownership paraplanning for existing clients , ensuring a consistently high standard of technical support and strategic advice throughout the year. You will serve as the central point of contact between the adviser and the administrator, helping to deliver a technically excellent, brilliant client experience. • Plan Creation: Build detailed net worth statements, cash flow models, income and expenditure reports, and other planning comparisons that help shape meaningful client recommendations., • Annual Meeting Preparation: Prepare detailed agendas and supporting technical documentation for the annual financial planning meetings delivered by the Financial Planner., • Research and Due Diligence: Analyse products, investments, and providers to determine suitable solutions, ensuring recommendations are fully compliant, appropriate, and aligned with client goals., • Strategy Development and Recommendations: Take responsibility for developing client planning strategies and forming suitable financial planning recommendations, using technical analysis, research, and client objectives to determine appropriate courses of action in collaboration with the Financial Planner., • Advice Reports: Write recommendation reports that are technically accurate, compliant, and client-appropriate, clearly reflecting the agreed strategy., • File Ownership: Take full responsibility for each file’s completeness and compliance, ensuring all documentation, evidence, and recommendations meet internal and regulatory standards., • Implementation Oversight: Coordinate with your administrator to deliver advice accurately and on time, ensuring every step of the plan is executed correctly., • Client Communication: Engage with clients primarily via email, secure messaging, instant chat, or phone. Attending client meetings is generally not required, allowing you to focus on technical and strategic work., • Team Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between the administrator and the paraplanner, ensuring clear communication, efficient workflows, and seamless task coordination across the servicing team., • Technical Resource Management: Maintain and update technical documentation, templates, and resources used by the servicing team, ensuring all materials are current, compliant, and accessible., • Ad-Hoc Advice Delivery: Deliver ad-hoc advice throughout the year for existing clients, including managing ISA contributions, pension contributions, withdrawals, and client accounts., • Post-Meeting Advice: Prepare any recommendations arising from the annual financial planning meetings, ensuring they are implemented accurately and efficiently. Essential Requirements • Location: Must be based in the United Kingdom and able to travel to Bristol occasionally for team days and meetings., • Experience: At least 3 years of recent paraplanning experience within a financial planning firm, with proven ownership of cases from start to finish. Experience in a smaller firm or startup style environment is strongly preferred, ideally within a firm focused on holistic financial planning., • Independence: Proven ability to work independently and deliver without close supervision., • Adaptability: Comfortable in fast-moving, evolving priorities. Proven ability to balance speed and accuracy in delivering technical work., • Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning required., • Technical Competence: Strong ability in pensions, tax, investments, and complex planning calculations, including TPAA/carry forward calculations, bond calculations, and inheritance tax planning., • Technology Skills: Confident with Google Workspace, Voyant, CashCalc, Fundment, Timeline, Wealthbox (Mac users a plus)., • Remote-Friendly: Previous experience working from home or in a remote role., • Mindset: Growth oriented, proactive, detail focused, and accountable for outcomes. Self-aware, enthusiastic, and collaborative, able to contribute positively to team culture as well as deliver independently. Desirable Preferences • Qualifications: CFP preferred, though not essential., • Location: Ideally based near South West England for quarterly meetups., • Education: Strong academic background helpful but not essential.
