Facility Manager\n Location: Darwen, Preston & Wigan \n Department: Operations / Facilities Management \n Reports To: Operations Director Job Summary\n We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, cleanliness, maintenance, and general upkeep of multiple sites across Darwen, Preston, and Wigan. The successful candidate will ensure all facilities are maintained to a high standard, coordinate reactive and planned maintenance, manage contractors and support staff, and resolve technical or operational issues efficiently to ensure smooth business operations across all locations. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Oversee the overall condition, presentation, and cleanliness of all company sites across Darwen, Preston, and Wigan\n, • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure facilities are safe, clean, compliant, and operating efficiently\n, • Coordinate and manage reactive and preventative maintenance works\n, • Handle technical issues and arrange repairs with external contractors or internal teams where required\n, • Manage relationships with maintenance providers, cleaners, suppliers, and service contractors\n, • Ensure all health & safety procedures and compliance standards are maintained across all sites\n, • Monitor facility-related costs and assist with budget control where necessary\n, • Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation\n, • Respond promptly to emergencies, operational issues, or urgent repair requirements\n, • Support operational teams to ensure facilities remain fully functional at all times\n, • Assist with site improvements, office moves, installations, and general operational projects\n, • Ensure waste management and housekeeping standards are consistently maintained\nRequirements\n\n, • Previous experience in Facilities Management, Site Management, or Building Operations\n, • Strong understanding of general maintenance, building systems, and technical troubleshooting\n, • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills\n, • Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritise workloads effectively\n, • Strong communication and contractor management skills\n, • Knowledge of health & safety and facilities compliance requirements\n, • Ability to work independently and respond effectively under pressure\n, • Full UK driving licence required\nDesirable Skills\n\n, • Experience managing commercial or warehouse facilities\n, • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems\n, • IOSH or Health & Safety qualification preferred\n, • Experience coordinating external contractors and maintenance schedules\nWhat We Offer\n\n, • Competitive salary\n, • Company vehicle or travel allowance (if applicable)\n, • Career progression opportunities\n, • Supportive and fast-paced working environment\n, • Company pension and additional benefits (where applicable)\n\n
