You will lead and support the Residential Support Worker team in delivering exceptional care. \n \n • Oversee shifts to ensure the home operates safely and smoothly, adhering to safeguarding standards\n, • Lead and mentor Residential Support Workers, promoting best practices and serving as a positive role model\n, • Stay informed about policies, procedures, and legislation, guiding staff in their application\n, • Build strong, professional relationships with multi-agency partners, families, and the community\n, • Support care planning and young people's reviews, tracking progress against individual plans\n, • Encourage young people to engage in decision-making within the home and community\n, • Promote equality and uphold health, safety, and data protection standards\n, • Participate in required training and support QCF learners as needed\n Essential Skills\n \n, • A good standard of education, working towards or holding a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent\n, • Strong understanding of childcare legislation, including the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards\n, • Experience in supporting young people with challenging behaviours\n, • Excellent report-writing, numeracy, administration, and IT skills\n, • Able to build positive, empathetic relationships with young people, committed to achieving the best outcomes\n, • A motivational and supportive leadership style, capable of supervising and developing staff\n, • Knowledge of national and local safeguarding procedures and protocols\n \n Headway Adolescent Resources is an equal opportunities employer and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
