Global Site and Study Operations (GSSO) is a global group which plays a key role in the conduct of clinical trials. • Seamless end-to-end global operational leadership and execution of studies., • Ensuring the completion and collection of regulatory and contractual documentation with investigative sites, including negotiating site budgets and contracts., • Overseeing the clinical trial execution that happens in the field i.e., the conduct of clinical trials sponsored by Pfizer at investigative sites. In order to promote the development of new medicines the GSSO partners closely with other clinical and clinical operations team members, providing operational and technical expertise to promote the design and execution of clinical trials. In this role the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop an in-depth comprehension of the key elements of the clinical study lifecycle. Through working in GSSO you will get hands‑on experience in many critical aspects of study execution across multiple therapeutic areas. All successful applicants will support a study team and will be expected to develop a sound technical grasp of the key clinical trial deliverables on one or more interventional clinical trials, with the opportunity to work across multiple Therapeutic Areas. Applicants will have their assignment in one or more of the following areas: • Global Study Management - working closely with an experienced Global Study Manager, and/or Clinical Study Team Associate., • Start-Up Project Management - project managing site activation., • Clinical Operations Planning – bringing together technology, project planning and resource management., • Operations - working alongside Clinical Trial and GSSO Associates and Site Activation Partners, supporting study operations at the country or regional level., • Site Operations – working with investigative sites throughout the study lifecycle., • Resource management - comprehending the calculations driving the business need for more or less staff for projects, and where these should be placed., • Process support and continuous improvement projects - identifying lessons learned and best practices and using this information to improve processes for the future., • Project Management, • Clinical, • Clinical Data Sciences, • Regulatory, • Contracts and Legal Placements will start on 1st September 2027 and will run for 12 months. Type of person we are looking for, in relation to ‘Skills’, ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Motivation’: • Completing placement as part of University Degree either through Year in Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year, • On target for a Degree Classification, • Self-motivated with ability to work independently, • Demonstrated effectiveness working as part of a team, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Detail focused, • Solution oriented and good joint problem-solving abilities, • High IT literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, • Basic understanding of AI tools and technologies, with curiosity and willingness to develop skills in this area As a reminder…….
