SEMH Teaching Assistant Kirkham, LancashireSpecialist SEMH College CentrePart-time - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | Term-time | Agency Role We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH College Centre in Kirkham for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs while benefiting from a consistent part-time schedule. Key Responsibilities • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, • Support learners to re-engage with education, routines, and emotional regulation, • Assist teaching staff with lesson delivery and differentiated activities, • Apply positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies, • Support students both academically and emotionally, • Experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs (schools, colleges, PRUs, care, youth work, or similar settings), • Calm, patient, and resilient approach, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider support team, • TA qualification desirable but not essential, • Competitive weekly agency pay, • Fixed part-time schedule: Tuesday to Thursday, • Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant, • Access to training and CPD opportunities, • Long-term placement with potential for permanent opportunities Apply today to discuss this part-time SEMH Teaching Assistant role in Kirkham.
