We are recruiting Support Workers to join a children’s residential home supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that may challenge. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will play a key part in creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment. You will support young people with their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and personal development, helping them to feel secure, valued, and empowered. Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people, • Promote trauma-informed and inclusive care practices, • Support young people to develop independence, confidence, and life skills, • Implement agreed behaviour support strategies, including de-escalation and PBS, • Maintain accurate records including daily logs and incident reports, • Follow safeguarding procedures and raise concerns appropriately, • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent care across shifts, • Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities, autism, or behaviours that challenge, • A caring, patient, and resilient approach, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work flexibly, • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities Additional Requirements • Enhanced DBS check (essential) Relevant training such as Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, PBS, or Trauma-Informed Practice (desirable) What’s on Offer • Competitive salary dependent on experience, • Comprehensive induction and ongoing training, • Opportunities for professional development and career progression, • Supportive team environment, • Making a genuine difference to young people’s lives If you’re passionate about supporting young people and want to build a meaningful career in care, we’d love to hear from you.
