We’re Hiring: IT Manager Head Office, Selby At GBUK, we’re continuing to grow, and with that, comes the need for strong, forward-thinking infrastructure to support our people, customers, and future ambitions. We’re looking for an IT Manager who can take ownership of our group-wide IT function, driving both operational excellence and strategic development across our business. Why this role matters This isn’t just about keeping the lights on. You’ll play a key role in shaping how IT enables the business; leading projects, strengthening cyber security, and ensuring our systems evolve alongside our growth. From managing infrastructure across multiple sites to delivering future-focused IT strategy, this is a hands-on leadership role with real impact. What you’ll be doing • Leading IT across GBUK, ensuring a reliable and efficient environment, • Driving strategic IT projects that support business growth, • Managing and developing relationships with third-party IT service providers, • Overseeing network, server, and cloud-based infrastructure, • Strengthening cyber security and delivering staff training, • Developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, • Managing IT budgets, forecasting, and cost control, • Creating and embedding IT policies, processes, and best practice, • Supporting, managing and developing your team, • Providing guidance to your direct reports on day-to-day and escalated issues What we’re looking for • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, end-user environments), • A presence in the office, just outside Selby, at least 3 days per week, • Experience across on-premise and cloud-based systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint), • Proven track record of delivering IT projects, • Experience working with Managed Service Providers, • Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders across the business, • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills It would be great if you also have… • Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment, • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central or MS SQL, • Experience with Power Apps or asset management systems, • Understanding of GDPR and data security best practices Why join GBUK?
