Construction & Operations Director Permanent | Yorkshire Region £85,000-£110,000 + Executive Package + Car / Allowance Are you a strategic and commercially focused leader with a proven track record in construction operations? A well‑established regional contractor is seeking a Construction & Operations Director to drive operational excellence, lead project delivery teams, and contribute to the long‑term strategic growth of the business across Yorkshire. The Role As Construction & Operations Director, you will oversee all operational functions, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will shape business strategy, strengthen client relationships, and lead cultural and operational improvements across the company. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership across all construction and operational activities Oversee multiple project teams, Contract Managers, Site Managers, and delivery functions Drive operational performance, project governance, and consistent quality standards Lead resource planning, workforce development, and succession planning Strengthen relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders Support business development, bidding, and commercial decision‑making Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, risk management, and operational procedures Lead continuous improvement initiatives across safety, programme, and quality Provide board‑level reporting on performance, risk, forecasting, and pipeline Champion company culture, staff engagement, and operational excellence About You Extensive leadership experience at Contracts/Operations Director or Senior Project/Contracts Manager level Strong background in construction, housebuilding, or major works delivery Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Commercially astute with strong financial, contractual, and strategic awareness Excellent client‑facing communicator with the ability to build long-term relationships Forward-thinking, innovative, and able to influence business-wide performance Full UK driving licence and relevant senior-level qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS Black/Platinum, NEBOSH or equivalent desirable) What's on Offer Competitive salary £85,000-£110,000, depending on experience Executive‑level package, car/allowance, bonus, and benefits Senior leadership role with real influence and autonomy Well-established contractor with strong regional reputation and secured pipeline Opportunity to shape operational strategy and future growth What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
