HR Manager Salary: up to £21.66ph Lincoln Initial 6-week FTC – immediate start GI Group are seeking a skilled HR Manager to join a large, public sector organisation on a 6‑month contract, to play a pivotal role in their People and Organisational Development function. This is an excellent chance to head up a dedicated HR team, deliver impactful employee relations support, and contribute to workforce strategy in a dynamic healthcare environment. THE ROLE In this hands-on leadership position, you will guide a specialist HR team to provide responsive, high-calibre employee relations support throughout the organisation. Core aspects include: • Delivering expert guidance to leaders on workforce planning, performance, change initiatives, and complex people issues., • Serving as the go-to advisor for challenging ER matters (e.g., absence management, conduct, grievances, capability, bullying/harassment, and probationary reviews)., • Overseeing significant transformation projects, including restructures, TUPE processes, consultations, redeployment, and redundancies., • Empowering managers through coaching and development, fostering a culture where every interaction builds capability, and designing/delivering targeted training., • Forging trusted partnerships with operational leaders and collaborating effectively with Trade Unions to achieve early, positive resolutions., • Managing key workforce metrics, generating meaningful insights and reports for senior leadership and governance bodies., • Shaping organisation-wide HR policies and supporting the broader People Strategy., • Leading and developing a team of HR professionals, including performance reviews, mentoring, and career progression. THE CANDIDATE • Proven track record of independently handling intricate ER cases, preferably through to tribunal level, ideally gained within a public sector., • Comprehensive understanding of UK employment law, precedents, and leading practices, applied in practical, business-focused ways., • Hands-on experience advising on organisational change and partnering constructively with union representatives., • Skilled in coaching managers and facilitating training sessions internally., • CIPD Advanced (Level 7) membership or equivalent., • Knowledge of integrated health and care systems would be advantageous., • Exceptional communication, persuasion, negotiation, and interpersonal capabilities.
