Title: Development Technician \n\nLocation: Newcastle area\n\nSalary: £29,717.09 pa (pro-rata) per annum\n\nTerm: Permanent\n\nSRG are working with a global and innovative producer of coatings and polymer-based products that have been established for over 75 years. They are seeking to hire a Development Technician at their site in the Newcastle area to focus on the development of new polymer products. This role will suit candidates that have recent, industrial experience in the polymers (or similar) industry.\n\nBenefits and working hours: 35.5 hours per week, 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 9am - 3pm on Fridays. 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.\n\nRole/Description\n\nMaintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment\nGeneral housekeeping and laboratory testing of products\nEffectively communicating results of plant trials\nEnsuring machines are in full working order\nReporting test results and suggesting improvements and modificationsRequirements\n\nDegree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science or similar\nRecent, (ideally) industrial experience within the polymers or chemicals sector\nAbility to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams\nFull right to work in the UKIf you would like to apply for this position, please use the link provided.
