Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations or incidents. Collaborate with other members of the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans for clients. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in caregiving or healthcare preferred. Previous experience as a caregiver or caretaker preferred but not required. Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. About Pedibus Pedibus is London's original Party Bike. Since 2008, we have run tours around London for private parties and celebrations, on our fleet of party bikes. The Role We are looking to hire a highly motivated and dependable individual to join our business as an Events Host & Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing fantastic customer service and ensuring the safe, efficient and enjoyable operation of our bikes. They will have an interest in people, outdoor activities, hospitality, and will be keen to learn and develop within the role. We are looking to hire 2 people to join our team of Event Hosts & Drivers for the Summer 2024 season. The role is based at London Bridge, and is pre-dominantly a Saturday job. Key Responsibilities Delivering excellent customer service to all Pedibus visitors. Delivering safety instructions pre-tour, and monitoring the customers throughout their journey. Driving our bikes around London, on pre-defined routes, with safety in mind at all times. Interacting with our customers throughout, taking photos, and joining in with their fun. Being a good brand ambassador, in view of the general public. Reporting on the day's tours in a de-brief at the end of each day. Occasional ad-hoc duties, as deemed necessary by management.
What we are looking for : - Team player, enthusiastic and energetic. - Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and during the night. - Sundays are our busiest days and these are essential working days. - Minimum 4 days availability from Sunday to Thursday. He loves being with people, listening to music, being read to, getting foot massages and playing games with his younger sister. He also enjoys walks and loves nature. He has significant complex care and medical needs; he is reliant on his family and carers to meet all his needs and is supported by a dedicated team of carers and support workers providing 1:1 sometimes 2:1 24/7. He is autistic, non verbal, has a movement disorder and epilepsy which results in regular seizures, a PEG for medication and fluids but eats foods orally. He can walk with support but is also a wheelchair user. He lives with his loving and supportive family, who recognise that his team of carers support workers are instrumental in his overall development and well being. Overview of role: He requires an experienced waking night carer to join his team to assist with his bedtime routine and tend to all his needs throughout the night. This is an active night as you will need to keep a close eye on him, and following protocols if he has a seizure, supporting him with personal care, monitoring for any signs of distress, and In the mornings administering his PEG feed and medications. You will help sooth him, making sure he is comfortable, and he can get as much rest as possible. All activity throughout the night is to be accurately documented. Additional shifts available to cover leave etc. To attend staff meetings & supervision. To participate in training as required. To arrive in plenty of time to begin shift, read the handover notes and to receive information in handover from the staff team regarding the day’s events. Keep his environment clean and tidy. Help to fold and tidy away his laundry. You may have to attend holidays with the young person, which is usually for 1 week to 10 days in the summer and support him during occasional long weekends away mostly with his family.
