You’ll have the autonomy to lead day to day, with the right balance of trust and support behind you. What the role’s about You’ll be responsible for running the home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted’s Quality Standards; keeping inspection readiness steady throughout the year. You’ll build on an already strong team culture, bring your own leadership style, and make sure every child feels safe, understood and settled. It’s a role with space to lead thoughtfully, a great foundation for long-term success. Day to day, you’ll: • Register and manage the home with Ofsted, • Keep standards high through supervision, reflection and structure, • Embed relational, trauma-informed care that feels genuine and consistent, • Lead, guide and retain a steady, values-led team, • Oversee safeguarding, care planning and audit processes, • Manage admissions and matching with careful consideration, • Build strong partnerships with families, schools and professionals, • Use reflection and data to keep learning and improving What you’ll bring • Experience as a Registered Manager in residential childcare (EBD/SEMH), • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or close to completing), • Solid understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and SCCIF, • Calm, grounded leadership with a people-first mindset, • Strong organisational skills and a clear, thoughtful approach, • Full UK manual driving licence What you’ll get • Up to £60,000 per year + 5% performance bonus, • Private medical insurance, • Pension and genuine wellbeing programme, • Regular reflective supervision and senior leadership input, • Real progression with potential to dual-register with a nearby home as the next step Why it stands out You’ll be joining a provider that’s built on stability and substance, not speed.
