Calico Projects is looking to take on experienced custodian/cleaner(s) to support the upkeep of three community buildings in the Lee/Central Lewisham area. This part-time role is essential to keeping our well-used community spaces clean, safe and welcoming. While initially focused on three core sites, there is scope for the role to expand as Calico takes on additional buildings in the area. The role can be filled by an individual or a small team, with flexibility around start and finish times. Most cleaning needs to take place outside of public use hours (before 7am or after 9pm), though there is some flexibility for later evening starts. Duties will include (across the three sites): Manor House (Library, Nursery & Community Centre, set over four floors with lift access): • Daily cleaning of nursery toilets, activity rooms and floors, including mopping, vacuuming and replenishing stocks., • Daily cleaning of library toilets, touch-points and communal spaces, plus spot vacuuming and dusting as required., • Daily/weekly cleaning of first floor and mezzanine rooms, including toilets, baby change facilities, meeting rooms and communal areas., • Daily cleaning of top floor toilet and replenishing supplies., • Weekly cleaning of stairs, lifts, handrails and other high-contact areas; occasional deep cleans of stone stairs and flooring., • Monitoring bins (with most emptied by nursery staff/volunteers)., • Lochaber Halls (two community halls, nursery & activity space):, • Daily sweeping/mopping of both halls., • Daily cleaning of toilets and replenishing stocks., • Cleaning of kitchen, entrance hall and walkways as required., • House on the Hill (shared creative workspace):, • Twice weekly vacuuming of main corridors., • Cleaning toilets and replenishing stocks., • Mopping communal kitchen and dining areas, wiping surfaces., • Not part of the cleaning remit:, • Outdoor areas and gardens, window cleaning (internal/external), private studio rooms, washing up, painting or repairs.
