LEAD INFORMATIONJob Title: Process Engineer / Process DeveloperSite Location: BroughtonResponsible To: Engineering / Management TeamPurpose of the Role: To develop, improve and support manufacturing processes across the business, supporting NPI, new customer projects, production efficiency, quality and continuous improvement.Client Brief: Due to continued growth and the recent acquisition of two major customers, the client is looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Process Engineer / Process Developer. The role will work alongside an experienced Process Engineer and will support increasing customer demand, new product introductions and ongoing production optimisation.KEY INFORMATIONReason for Vacancy: Business growth and acquisition of two major customers, creating increased demand and new projects.Contract: Permanent, full timeSalary: £37,000£40,000 depending on experienceOvertime: 1.5x basic rate Mon-Sat, 2.0x SundayShifts: MondayThursday 7:45am4:15pm / Friday 7:45am12:45pmHolidays: 23 days annual leave plus Bank HolidaysFacilities: Excellent facilities on site, very well kept site and free parking available alsoRESPONSIBILITIESThe RoleDevelop, implement and improve manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost.Support NPI and new customer projects from introduction through to manufacture.Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions and SOPs.Drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.Investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.Carry out root cause analysis and structured problem solving.Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Management teams.Support tooling, fixture development, process validation and equipment improvements.Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Ensure processes meet quality, customer and health & safety requirements.Provide technical support to production when required.Key Skills RequiredPrevious experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Process Development.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Good communication and organisational skills.Competent with Microsoft Office.Ideally experience within precision engineering, machining, fabrication, aerospace, automotive or similar manufacturing.Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen would be beneficial.NPI experience desirable.HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent engineering experience desirable.Proactive, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.Strong team player with a focus on continuous improvement.Serply Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
