A dynamic and expanding private equity firm in Brighton is looking to appoint an ambitious Corporate Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. This opportunity is for a lawyer with experience levels from circa 4+ PQE who are seeking a more commercially embedded role. This is a standout in-house position offering genuine exposure to the full private equity lifecycle. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and deal teams on high-quality transactions, playing a key role in shaping and executing investments. You will be at the heart of transactional activity, advising on: • Buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, • Private equity investments and exits, • Drafting and negotiating key documentation (including SPAs, investment agreements and NDAs), • Managing and coordinating due diligence processes, • Providing ongoing corporate and strategic advice to portfolio companies Depending on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of transactions and act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership. • UK-qualified solicitor with strong corporate experience (private practice or in-house), • Ideally a background in M&A, with exposure to private equity or complex transactions highly advantageous, • Commercially minded, pragmatic, and confident working closely with non-legal stakeholders, • For more senior candidates, a desire to step into a broader, business-facing role with real influence, • High-quality, high-value deal exposure from day one, • A genuinely collaborative and commercially driven in-house culture, • Clear scope for progression and increased responsibility, • Very competitive salary and bonus package, • Brighton-based role offering an excellent lifestyle balance This is an exceptional opportunity for corporate lawyers who want to move beyond pure legal execution and become integral to deal-making in a fast-paced private equity environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
