Role Overview Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, the Mechanical Manager will be a key member of the wider site-based team, with overall responsibility for leading and managing mechanical service delivery across the site. The role encompasses a broad range of mechanical disciplines, including: • Ventilation systems (including Local Exhaust Ventilation), • Fire dampers and motorised fire and smoke dampers, • Air conditioning and refrigeration systems, • Chiller plant, • Water systems, • Medium and Low Temperature Hot Water (MTHW/LTHW) boiler systems, • Generator services Key Responsibilities Service Delivery & Performance • Take full ownership of all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities, ensuring completion within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and relevant asset standards., • Hold overall accountability for the health and safety of Supervisors, Engineering teams, and Service Partners., • Deliver Toolbox Talks and provide regular safety briefings and updates., • Act as the first point of contact for operational escalations., • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders., • Provide technical advice and specialist support to the Project Team for all assets within the Mechanical Manager’s remit., • Regularly review, update, and advise on asset lifecycle requirements, ensuring plant performance, reliability, and compliance are maintained.
